What can I expect from the counseling process?

Therapy is a commitment; both emotional and with your time/money. You should expect to set aside 50 minutes per week for a session that will explore necessary areas of your life. Sometimes this process can be difficult and I encourage you to share any reservations you may have with me directly. I will offer you a safe, confidential place to share your past pain and current concerns.

How do I start the counseling process?

Most often, the best way to start is by emailing or calling me so we can have a brief & free consultation to see if therapy is the best option for you at this point. You can ask questions re: therapy and I will be able to gain a better understanding of what you are hoping to address by coming to see me.

What is your fee?

My fee is $160 for a 50-minute session. Cash, check, MasterCard, VISA, Discover & American Express are accepted. Please note: I also offer a limited number of openings for sliding scale/low cost counseling services. Please contact me to see if there are currently any openings.

 

How often will we meet?

Your session day/time will be reserved for your weekly appointment. If you are interested in seeking therapy less than 1x per week, please contact me to discuss in further detail.

 

Do you take insurance?

I do not currently take insurance. However, reimbursement for sessions is available if you are participating in a Flexible Health Account.

 

Are there any forms to fill out?

Yes, new clients are expected to complete an information form and informed consent to receive treatment. You are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early to your first appointment to complete them in the office.

 

What if I miss an appointment?

Please contact me with 24+ hours advanced notice if you are unable to attend your session. Late cancellations and missed appointments with no cancellation will be charged for the full session fee.
